Area 2 Construction

North Avenue (left) - Quail Street
Crew have completed work on the North Avenue track crossing. System work at the Federal Center Station an North Avenue will begin in January/February 2012. In late January, crews will install the LED lights on the 6th Avenue Bridge. Punch list work will continue through January on 8th Avenue, Collins Avenue, and Quail Street.

Oak Station (right)
Work on the Oak Station is progressing quickly. In January, crews will begin pouring the sidewalks at the station, install parking lot lamp posts, complete work on the bus bays and complete irrigation work. Completed work at the station includes curb and gutter installation, Oak access street work, paved parking areas and system installations. The TPSS unit was installed in early December.

Kipling Street - Yukon Street
Activities in the area are nearly complete. Punch list work will continue through January on the bike path between Kipling and Garrison, Garrison Station and street, Estes Street, Carr Street, as well as the bike path between Carr and Wadsworth, and roadwork on 13th Avenue between Zephyr and Yukon.

Wadsworth Boulevard (left) - Newland Street
In late December crews set the elevator tower and highblocks at the Wadsworth Station. System crews will set the TPSS unit in mid January. Punch list work will begin in January on 13th Avenue between Wadsworth and Vance, and Pierce to Newland Street. Work on the bike path between Marshall and Lamar continues.

Lamar Street - Sheridan Station (right)
West Rail crews will continue work through January on the bike paths between Lamar and Harlan, and Harlan to Depew. In late January, early February crews will begin punch list work the Lamar Station and 13th Avenue between Lamar and Harlan. Work continues at the Sheridan Station. Systems work at the station is complete and work will continue on the Beth Jacobs access road where crews are completing work on the TPSS foundation. The TPSS unit is scheduled to be set in mid January.
