The Southeast Rail Extension was accepted into the project development phase of the federal New Starts program. The RTD Board of Directors authorized a $207 million extension of the Southeast Rail Line at its regular meeting on July 15, 2014.
The environmental assessment has been released. You can see it here. You're invited to a public meeting about the EA on August 27. Follow this link to submit a comment about the environmental assessment and the Southeast Rail Extension project.
The Southeast Rail Line Extension will make the Southeast line even more
successful than it is today. The current plan is to extend light rail
transit service to the new RidgeGate Parkway Interchange by providing
- Kiss-n-Ride station at Sky Ridge Medical Center
- Kiss-n-Ride station at Lone Tree City Center
- New end-of-line station at RidgeGate with a 1,300 space Park-n-Ride
