Project Schedule
- Fall 2007 - Scoping phase to identify the purpose and need for the project, included Public Meeting #1.
- Late 2007/Early 2008 - Development and screening of conceptual alignments and station locations, included Public Meeting #2.
- Spring/Summer 2008 - Refinement a recommended alternative, the Preferred Alternative, which is presented at Public Meeting #3.
- Fall 2008/Spring 2009 - Conducted preliminary engineering on the Preferred Alternative to identify the impacts that may be caused by its implementation and recommend ways to mitigate those impacts.
- Summer 2009 - Published the draft Environmental Evaluation (EE), a very detailed report that summarizes the impacts of the Preferred Alternative, as well as the proposed methods to mitigate impacts. Included a 30-day public comment period and Public Meeting #4.
- Fall 2009 - The final EE is published and submitted to the RTD Board of Directors for adoption. The final document includes mitigation commitments and responses to all Draft EE comments.
- Early 2010 - Final design for Segment 1- Nine Mile Station to Iliff Station.
