RTD contractor to hold emergency preparedness drill on Saturday for University of Colorado A Line
DENVER, January 5, 2016 - Transit Partners (DTP), along with the Regional Transportation District (RTD), emergency responders and other local agencies, will hold a one-day emergency preparedness drill on Saturday, Jan. 9, 8 a.m. to noon, where project partners will simulate and coordinate how they will respond in the event of an emergency along the University of Colorado A Line once it opens on April 22.
64th Avenue roadway bridge opens along Northwest Rail B Line
DENVER, January 15, 2016 - The Regional Transportation District (RTD) and its contractor Denver Transit Partners (DTP), along with Adams County, will be celebrating the opening of the 64th Avenue roadway bridge on Wednesday, Jan. 20. After a year of construction, the bridge crosses over the future RTD B Line tracks as well as the freight tracks. Features include a dedicated bicycle lane and 10-foot sidewalk on the south side, with access to the Little Dry Creek Trail where existing pedestrian usage will remain operational.
