North Metro Rail - N Line

The North Metro Rail Line is an 18.5-mile electric commuter rail line that will run from Denver Union Station through Commerce City, Thornton and Northglenn to Highway 7 in North Adams County. On July 16, 2018, crews will begin dynamic stabilization of the track from the north abutment of the Skyway Bridge to the end of the line. Dynamic track stabilizers are surface vibration devices that compact and stiffen the track-bearing ballast bed, thereby securing the track more firmly in the ballast and improving the resistance. This activity will occur Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be extremely loud and  cause nearby vibration.

For the most recent construction update, see the elected officials presentation from November 16, 2017
