US 36 to Union Station Reverse Commute
Following is one of five key study areas within the Northwest Area Mobility Study. Each of the five areas will be evaluated in context to produce a comprehensive set of solutions to improve overall mobility for the entire northwest area.
Denver Union Station and US 36 (e.g. Boulder-bound a.m. travel and Denver-bound p.m. travel) will impact future mobility in the northwest area. The study will analyze current and future reverse-commute challenges to determine whether the conditions warrant action between now and 2035.
If the challenges warrant action, potential improvements to the current North I-25 Managed Lanes or other connections between the Denver Central Business District and US 36 to accommodate bi-directional use will be identified and tested for feasibility.
