Installation of some new artwork just finished along the West Rail. The "Gift of Rain" by John Fleming is now featured at the Sheridan Station.

Thousands participate in telephone town hall meetingsThe Regional Transportation District Board of Directors hosted a series of live telephone town hall meetings with constituents in October and November 2013. Participants heard the latest about bus and light rail service, RTD's FasTracks transit expansion program and other projects.

FasTracks progress: Eagle P3 project halfway to opening dayWork on RTD's Eagle P3 project, which includes the Gold Line, the Northwest Line to Westminster, the East Line and the Commuter Rail Maintenance Facility, is halfway to opening day as of late August 2013. A Request for Proposals went out to build the North Metro Rail Line and an opening day was set for Denver Union Station. RTD's small business program exceeding goalsSmall and disadvantaged business opportunities are reaching beyond the established goals set on many of the Regional Transportation District's (RTD) contracts. RTD has exceeded its contracting targets for many small and disadvantaged contractors and subcontractors with awards totaling $480 million on base system and FasTracks projects such as the West Rail Line, Union Station in Denver, the I-225 Light Rail Line and the Eagle P3 commuter rail project.
