DENVER - July 6, 2016 - The Regional Transportation District (RTD) and its contractor, Denver Transit Partners (DTP), have initiated the final testing phase before opening the B Line from Union Station to Westminster. This dual-phase System Performance Demonstration (SPD) is DTP's approach to verifying the readiness for operating and maintaining the system for revenue service.
41st and Fox pedestrian bridge opens to the public
DENVER - July 20, 2016 - The Regional Transportation District (RTD) and its contractor, Denver Transit Partners (DTP), in coordination with the City and County of Denver, have completed the new pedestrian bridge at 41st and Fox on July 20, 2016. The bridge connects the Highlands and Sunnyside neighborhoods to the Globeville neighborhood near the future 41st & Fox Station along the G Line.
RTD celebrates the new B Line with grand opening festivities
DENVER-July 25, 2016 -The Regional Transportation District (RTD) and its many partners celebrated the grand opening of the B Line today with great fanfare. More than a hundred people gathered for a ceremony to see a host of local dignitaries cut the ribbon to officially open the 6-mile commuter rail line that runs from Union Station to Westminster. The ceremonies were immediately followed by free rides on the new line for the rest of the day.
