Denver Union Station will be transformed into a transportation hub serving the needs of residents, tourists and commuters. It will be the "Grand Central Station" of the metropolitan region as the center of the regional transit system in the heart of the city. A master plan for the site has been completed and adopted by the four partner agencies (RTD, CDOT, DRCOG, City and County of Denver).

Denver Union Station provides an opportunity to create a dense, mixed-use transit-oriented development adjacent to the transit facility and may include up to 2 million square feet of development on the DUS site.
