RTD Receives Final Light Rail Car - Fleet complete to accommodate future light rail service - October 2011

RTD puts out call for innovation - More than 200 attend Industry Forum - September 2011

The Regional Transportation District's (RTD) call for innovations enticed many high-level executives from a cross-section of large and small firms to hear more about it. More than 200 people attended RTD's industry forum - Transformation Through Transportation (T3) - which was held at the Denver Athletic Club.

RTD FasTracks Program Recognized for Visionary Approach to Document and Project Management - System saves money and time - September 2011

The Regional Transportation District (RTD) has been awarded by Constructech magazine for the successful implementation of an innovative technology to manage project documents and correspondence for its FasTracks projects. As part of Constructech's Vision Awards, RTD won the Team Award for its use of the Aconex web-based platform for document and information management. To read news release click here.
 

U.S. Transportation Secretary awards RTD $1.03 billion grant for FasTracks rail lines to DIA and Arvada/Wheat Ridge - Major milestone for region's transit expansion program - August 2011

U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood and Federal Transit Administration Administrator Peter Rogoff  officially awarded the Regional Transportation District (RTD) a $1.03 billion Full Funding Grant Agreement (FFGA) to help build two rail lines in the FasTracks transit expansion program. A special signing ceremony was followed by the groundbreaking for the Gold Line at the site of the future Olde Town Arvada rail station.  To read news release click here.
 

Nearly 4,000 Visit RTD's New Commuter Rail Vehicle Model at Denver Union Station - June 2011


During a two week period, nearly 4,000 visitors toured a full-scale mock-up of the new commuter rail vehicle that the Regional Transportation District (RTD) will use on FasTracks lines now getting under construction to Denver International Airport (DIA), Arvada-Wheat Ridge and Westminster.  To read news release click here.
