I-225 Rail - R Line
Current construction list and detour maps
The I-225 Rail Line is a 10.5-mile light rail line within the city of Aurora that will provide key regional connections to the East and Southeast rail lines. It is part of FasTracks, RTD's voter-approved plan passed in November 2004 to expand transit service across the Denver metro region.
It will provide connectivity to major activity centers like the Aurora City Center, Anschutz Medical Campus and Denver International Airport through a transfer at Peoria to the East Rail Line.
Sable & Alameda Intersection NOW OPEN!Although intersection work is complete at Alameda Avenue and Sable Boulevard, motorists will still encounter intermittent single lane closures and diverted traffic patterns on Alameda Avenue. These closures are necessary so that Aurora Water can complete a project that will improve drainage in the area. Both directions of Sable Boulevard are expected to remain open during this work. For information about this specific project contact Aurora Water at 720-859-4312.
