Central Park Station opens along A Line

As we continue to grow and expand our service, the first station to open for the future A Line to the airport is Central Park Station. It's along Smith Road just west of Central Park Boulevard.

This new Park-n-Ride opened for bus service on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015. It replaced the existing Stapleton Park-n-Ride which permanently closed on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015.

More than 650 people attended an open celebration on Saturday, Sept. 26. RTD Director Barbara Deadwyler cut the ribbon to officially open the new facility.

Denver Transit Partners, RTD's contractor for the new commuter rail line to the airport hosted the open house and revealed final station designs. The new station will be the largest along the A Line when it opens in spring 2016.

Commuter trains running on the A Line will serve the RiNo, Clayton, Park Hill, Stapleton and Green Valley Ranch neighborhoods as well as connect passengers to the airport.
